Annual Phonathon in Full Swing
The Alumni Office is getting a jump on the Phonathon this year, beginning before Christmas instead of later in the year. Students are calling alumni in the evenings, in an effort to bolster alumni giving for this year and to update records. To make an online gift to the College, click here.

Alumni News Needed
The next View is scheduled for April, 2008. We have received great feedback on the Alumni News section, and many have expressed a desire to see more updates. Please email your news, updates, and pictures to the Alumni Office at alumni@covenant.edu. Especially if your graduation year was a “three” or an “eight,” be sure to send in your updates! Next year’s Homecoming reunions will be the classes of the “threes” and “eights,” and in an effort to generate excitement for these classes for Homecoming 2008, we especially encourage those reunion years to send in updates for your old friends and classmates!

Covenant on ITunes U
Covenant has partnered with Apple to launch Covenant College on iTunes U. Apple’s iTunes U program allows colleges and universities to make audio resources available free of charge to a worldwide audience. Visitors will find free audio resources such as sermons and lectures by Covenant’s own faculty members as well as presentations by visiting speakers such as The Most Reverend Henry Luke Orombi, Archbishop of the Church of Uganda. Initially, only a limited number of audio files will be available; the selection will expand over the coming months. Click here to visit Covenant College on iTunes U.

Covenant Webcam Provides Realtime View of the Campus

spacer.gifBUILD Campaign Update

carter-hall.JPG

On Thursday, November 8, the College learned that an anonymous foundation has awarded Covenant College a $1 million grant toward the renovation of Carter Hall as part of the current $31 million BUILD campaign. President Nielson said, “We are so grateful for this grant in support of a beloved landmark. Carter Hall is what brought Covenant College to Chattanooga in 1964 and we want to preserve and celebrate this historic building for our students and also for the community surrounding the College. Carter Hall and its tower can be seen from many places in Chattanooga and the building is an important part of the social and visual history we share with our community. We are committed to preserving that.”
