Second Annual Brock Lecture Series set for January 24
The second annual Brock Lecture Series on Authentic Christian Leadership will be held Thursday, January 24, with keynote speaker Steve Reinemund, retired CEO and chairman of the board of PepsiCo. The Brock Lecture Series was established in honor of former Covenant president Dr. Frank Brock, who set an example of servant-leadership at Covenant after his previous career in executive leadership with the Brock Candy Company had made him, in business terms, a very successful man. The 2008 Brock Lecturer, Mr. Steve Reinemund, retired CEO and chairman of the board of PepsiCo, exemplifies the meaning of authentic Christian leadership in the marketplace. He has lived out this core value both in the corporate world and as a volunteer for many organizations.

Longtime Friend of the College Goes Home to Glory
Anne Caudle Rymer passed away on December 30, 2007. Anne and her late husband Skeet were loyal and generous friends of Covenant College. “Mr. and Mrs. Rymer came to believe in Covenant’s mission and ministry and generously supported the College’s campus development,” said President Niel Nielson. “Rymer Hall, where approximately 100 students live, bears wonderful testimony to their heart for students and their education.”

Covenant Announces Plans for Baseball Field and Softball Field
Plans for construction of a baseball field and softball field were announced this week. Covenant’s young baseball and softball teams have been playing at off-campus locations. The addition of on-campus facilities will be a huge boon to the growing programs. The new athletic fields will be constructed at the site of the current Highlands field. Design of the facilities includes allowances for the possible future additions of a training facility, press boxes, and concessions facilities.
